North Tyneside's annual fireworks display attracts thousands of people to see a spectacular show overlooking the North Sea off Whitley Bay.
There are fairground rides and refreshments from 6pm and the display starts at 7pm, lasting for around 15 minutes.
Traffic in the area will be busy. Where possible, people are encouraged to use public transport.
In the event of bad weather, the event will take place the following night.
