A North Shields 800 event will bring the town’s community together for a day-long party with a festival atmosphere.
The midsummer event is a key date in the North Shields 800 calendar of projects and events, celebrating North Shields past, present and future and marking the town’s historic anniversary.
It will be held at the North Shields FC ground at Silkey’s Lane on Saturday 21 June from 11am to 7pm.
There will be attractions for all ages including a stage with live music and entertainment, inflatables, rides, stalls, face painting, character walkabouts, a festival of football, food and licensed bars.
Tickets are priced at £2 for adults and £1 for children. The event is made possible thanks to support from the North East Combined Authority.
The festival of football will feature players from North Shields Athletic girls and women’s teams playing four games across four pitches, 16 games in total.
