The comfortable U-shaped lounge, with a bar on one side and a hatch on the other, is noted in the area for its Scottish ales and for selling reputedly the hightest volume of Draught Bass on Tyneside. The pub is near the Coast to Coast cycle route. No TV. No music. No short measures. No parking problems. No hot food. No gaming machines.
